Its easy to get your Android Phone rooted with One click apps if you are lucky enough to own HTC branded Android. Not every one is, but its about to get Nasty Easy for just anyone to Root his Android, without even having any knowledge of PC/Android.

Universal Androot is the best new way to root your phone.

How to Root Android [Easy]

All you need to do is download the apk to your phone, and install it. Make sure you have “Unkown sources” selected under Settings > Applications. After the installation, Open it and select your Android version.

If you are somehow scared of the word “root” you can try the rooting for one session too aka Soft Root, your Phone is rooted for a duration as long as you don’t restart it.

And Of course, after rooting (just like jailbreaking on iPhone) you can do just a lot with your android Phone. You can backup your apps, settings, homescreen with Titanium backup,  Wireless Tether (on 2.1. 2.2 already has this native),  Overclock / Underclock your Android CPU with SetCPU, and even install custom ROMs like CyanogenMod, NxSense and what not.
