JellyBean goodness is now welcomed on Samsung Galaxy Note, the 5.3″ Phablet.

N7000, or international Galaxy Note along with AT&T Galaxy Note gets first Jellybean Android 4.1 Preview. The ROM comes from CyanogenMod 10. The first preview just works but the experience isn’t exactly butter, yet.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo.

Update: Install, Update Official Android JellyBean on Galaxy Note N7000 [XXLSZ]

What doesn’t work (at the time of writing, july 2012, this would improve over time):

  • FM radio
  • Sensors are partly working
  • CM10 is not ready
  • Not butter smooth but still nice

Tip: Camera app is now part of Gallery app.

This method can brick your Galaxy Note because of the infamous “EMMC brick bug” which is basically a software fault… You need to find a safe kernel, e.g. Gingerbread or one of the ICS safe kernels before you do this!
