Android Jellybean is tasty and the fun is coming to almost all the smartphones like Galaxy Note, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Tab 8.9, 10.1 and more.

Galaxy SIII got early flavors of Jellybean, now comes a Stable Jellybean AOSP Android 4.1.1, with almost everything working.

This ROM is built by Team Hacksung, the most popular S3 ROM developers and they build it from Google’s JellyBean source code. Its part of the upcoming SuperNexus ROM, here are the details of the ROM, that you might bother to know about:

System Details:

  • Android ICS 4.1.1 (JRO03H – Android-4.1.1_r3)
  • Kernel: CM 10
  • Pure JellyBean Core AOSP apps

What doesn’t work: Wifi tethering broken at times.

How to Install Jellybean on Galaxy S3 [Android 4.1.1]

Step 1. Root your Galaxy S3 with CWM recovery, you can google for guides.
Step 2. Download and Copy ROM zip and Google Apps zip to your internal SD Card [download from XDA thread]
Step 3. Boot into Recovery (CWM recovery)
Step 4. Perform a complete Wipe/Factory Reset.
Step 5. Flash the Android 4.1.1 JB ROM zip by choosing “choose zip ” from CWM recovery.
Step 6. Now flash Google apps.

Reboot and you’re done.
