Gingerbread 2.3 Release for Nexus One

Google has delayed the launch of Nexus Two potentially due to a hardware bug found during Dogfooding of the device.

Originally, the idea was to launch the Nexus Two device alongside Android 2.3 “Gingerbread”.  The Nexus Two has been delayed, so its not going to happen. But Google seems to be running fine with Gingerbread release which will be hitting the Nexus One in the next few days.

The source of news is  trustworthy as it comes from a tweet today from Alvaro Fuentes Vasquez, whose on the “leadership team” of the Open Handset Alliance (OHA).

English Translation:

Prepare your Nexus One (Developer version) for Android OTA update 2.3 (Gingerbread) in the next few days:-D

The news is in perfect coordination with the rumors from last week that Gingerbread would land on November 11, few days away.
