Android gives you the freedom of using your own hardware with it, thanks to the open USB host controller on newer devices.

But what happens to older devices? There’s an app for that. You can use just about any android device and attach peripherals like Keyboard, mouse, Hard disk via USB. The app is called USB Host controller and does exactly what it claims.

Application shows enumerated usb devices, and allows you to mount external mass storage devices to the filesystem. Supports advanced features like the ability to reload partition tables and reseting USB devices. It can also control the USB Host functionality of S5PC210 devices with the appropriate kernel patch (more about this later)

Of course, device needs to be rooted to use this app.
